Deema Alawa is a New York born illustrator passionate about non-traditional art and design. Her work as a visual storyteller draws from her dual Syrian-Danish heritage, contemporary art, and eclectic design.

Since 2016, Deema has been the Chief Creative Officer at The Tempest, intersecting her experience with art direction with her passion for design and illustration.

 

Deema has since worked with companies such as Penguin Random House, Kastor & Pollux​, RIT Dubai, and the Malala Fund, creating visuals for bold ideas.
