Kareen Cox is a graphic designer, illustrator, book designer and photographer. She loves to design with bright colours and finds that geometrics, portraiture and typography are her favourite genres in design. Kareen enjoys using colours which aren’t normal skin-based ones. Coming from a Caribbean background, representation definitely matters to her and she feels that it’s important for children (and adults) to see people in the arts that represent them. Whilst she does draw natural skin-tone based illustrations, she occasionally likes to push the boat out with a huge pop of colour. In her spare time she doodles sometimes weird, but always wonderful, things on on her Ipad.
